I knew pretty early in my pregnancy with Caroline that I was likely going to have to have a c-section.  She was a stubborn thing from the word "go" and she never once got out of the breech position, which almost always means a section for safety.  Add to that I was also high risk, was put on complete bed rest (FYI: not as fun as it sounds) and ended up delivering early in an emergency situation (I was pre-eclamptic) and it was pretty much a guarantee that I was not going to have a "normal" delivery.  Though, let's be honest, of all the moms you know - did anyone have a "normal" delivery?  There's always something, isn't there?

Today was the big day! I took Caroline into our pediatric allergist to get her tested for the flu vaccine.  I really love Caroline's doctor, Dr. Ruff, because he explains things to me fully and treats me like I know what he's talking about.  Which, fortunately enough, I usually do.  When he began his explanation of the process this morning, he said that he was going to do a skin prick test for both straight egg protein and the flu vaccine.  If the flu vaccine had no reaction then he would go ahead and administer the vaccine.  I stopped him to question why that wasn't in compliance with what the AAAAI recommends...

This is one of those blog posts that is light on narrative and relies almost entirely on pictures to tell the story and, hopefully, make you laugh.  As I may have mentioned, the Incredibles are headed to Disney World at the end of October and the whole family is very excited.  One the cutest developments in the world of Caroline is that she has recently started referring to all of her stuffed animal toys as "friends" and using her imagination and role playing in new ways.  I know it's just the age, but it constantly cracks me up.  Here are a couple of recent examples of scenarios that Caroline set up for herself.

In our unending quest to be involved in more activites that help Caroline interact with more kids her own age (and our lesser-known, but related quest to get out of the house at least once a day) Caroline has started gymnastics with her good friend, Anna!
